Protection
Protecting the glass means resisting to intended breakage for stealing purposes. Glass Protection can also be applied to protect from dust.This is achieved by applying the three layer protection method.
Three Layer Protection Method:
- Use a double glass unit ( Triple space)
- Put the stained glass panel or any valuable panel as an inter layer between double glass.
Exterior Layer:
Usualy transparent to show the atained glass clearly and is protective either by tempering or lamination, or lamination, or both ( two tempered glasses are laminated together).
Interior Layer:
Usualy translucent or totaly opaque to obstruct peeping into the houses while showing the beauty of the stained glass clearly to the residents. This layer is laminated and is of course highly protected.
